Let's Move Active Schools Grant

Presidential Youth Fitness Program (K-12) – First come, First-serve
Schools and districts can apply now to receive Presidential Youth Fitness Program resources to enhance implementation of the nation’s
youth fitness education and assessment program. Eligible schools and districts can receive up to $1,000 in resources including
software, student recognition items and more! Schools enrolled in Let’s Move! Active Schools that have completed their Assessment
are eligible to receive up to $2,000 in resources. 

UNICEF Kid Power (3-5 grade) – Apply by April 30
Ramp up classroom physical activity with UNICEF Kid Power‘s school program, which gives students the tools to get active and save
lives while learning about global issues. Selected classrooms will each receive their own classroom kit, including a Kid Power Band
for every student, a LTE enabled tablet for the class, online curricular media and materials, and setting up and implementation
materials. Each application submission should represent one classroom. 

Sportime & SPARK (K-12) – Apply by April 30
To celebrate Sportime’s 50th birthday, Sportime & SPARK are excited to offer 50 Let’s Move! Active Schools activation grants!
Schools will receive: SPARK Curriculum Set 2 (includes manual, music CD & 3 year sparkfamily.org membership; $299 value) and a
$100 voucher from Sportime for equipment.

Yoga Foster (K-5) – Apply by May 31
Grants will equip hundreds of teachers with yoga mats, curriculum and teacher training to integrate short Yoga Bursts and long-form
yoga units into the classroom. 

USA Track and Field RunJumpThrow (K-12) – Apply by May 31
Take part in the Olympics excitement, and bring RunJumpThrow to your student! Selected grant recipients will receive a
RunJumpThrow equipment kit (value $1,000) or a $1,000 equipment gift certificate.

PHIT America GO! Grants (K-6) – Apply by June 1
GO! Grants are $1,000 -$5,000 grants to spark and sustain physical activity programs. The funds may be used for equipment,
facilities, professional development and programs. Schools can propose an idea of their own or choose one of many successful low-
cost programs. 

Fuel Up to Play 60 (K-12) – Apply by June 15
The 2017-18 Playbook has exciting enhancements on the topic of inclusion, developed in collaboration with the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition. Schools can select oneHealthy Eating Play and one Physical Activity Play to apply for Funds for Fuel Up to Play 60. Schools that indicate enrollment in
Let’s Move! Active Schools on their application will receive added consideration.

Good Sports Equipment Grants (K-12) – Rolling Application
Good Sports equipment grants serve youth in economically disadvantaged areas of the country. Approved schools will receive access
to an online catalog, where they have the ability to view current inventory and submit requests as needed. Schools that indicate
enrollment in Let’s Move! Active Schools on their application will receive added consideration.

schools have the opportunity to win grants and prizes when they contribute miles to the national goal – prizes like an all-school New
Balance shoe makeover. Join the race in April and share photos or videos of your students in action using #ShoeMakeoverContest.
Your school could win fresh New Balance kicks for every kid (and the grown-ups too). Head here for all the details. K-6 schools

Is your school inspired to get moving and earn cash awards this spring? Join the Fire Up Your Feet Spring Activity Challenge! It’s free

Obstacle Course for K-6 PE Class
This obstacle course activity is great for practicing locomotor skills like running and jumping. PE teacher Kyle Winters created the
course for his Jump Rope for Heart unit to promote having a healthy heart by moving in not so traditional ways.

Field Day Activities
Field Day is a great way to teach students about team building. Explore some of S&S Worldwide’s favorite team building activities
that will challenge students in a fun way, and teach them how to work as a team. Also, see how one creative PE teacher made a Kid
Car Wash for her students as a Field Day water station.

Focus on PE Leads to a More Active School Day
Building on its strong PE program, Young Oak Kim Academy has infused movement throughout the day. In recognition of their
efforts, the school won the Let’s Move! Active Schools National Award and received a $5,000 grant and free physical education
equipment in 2015.

A Let’s Move! Active Schools National Award recipient, Lovettsville Elementary School shows us how physical activity programs
like Fuel Up to Play 60, GoNoodle, and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthy Schools Program can help schools make
